Fashion: St Enoch Rewards Card

When it comes to shopping I love being rewarded for a being a loyal customer. It definitely encourages me to return to the retailer time and time again. So you can imagine my excitement when The Big Partnership got in touch on behalf of St Enoch and challenged me to pack for a weekend away with £100 and the new St Enoch Rewards Card.

You can use the St Enoch Rewards card by downloading the app on your smart phone or by picking up a card in the centre. I find the app easier to use as you can keep upto date with latest offers, check participating retailers and to check what level you are at. The reward card offers three levels and the higher the level, the better the rewards. By registering the card you will collect one point which starts you off on the bronze level giving you access to offers such as a 10% discount in Fossil and M&Co and a free Benefit make-up lesson in Debenhams.

Each time you continue to shop in the participating retailers spending £5 or more you will collect a point each time. To move on to the silver level you will require three points. Once you reach the silver level you will have access to more offers like 5% off in Hotel Chocolate, a free sample pack of The Body Shop's bestsellers and 15% discount in Fossil.

I'm currently sitting at the silver level and working my way towards the gold which requires 20 more points. Once the gold level is unlocked you will unlock offers such as 20% off in Fossil and £10 off a £25 spend in The Body Shop.

Some of the offers are on for a limited period of time so keeping checking the app for the most upto date offers.

I used my rewards card while shopping for essentials for a weekend away and was able to benefit from some of the offers while collecting points in some of the participating retailers Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins and The Body Shop.

When packing for a weekend away I like to pack a capsule wardrobe with basic staples that can take me from day to night. The first thing I went for was comfortable but stylish shoes as my weekend away would most likely be a city break and involve a lot of walking and sightseeing. So I picked these black flats (£20) from the Topshop concession in Debenhams. My next item, a good pair of jeans and these skinny jeans (£26) from Dorothy Perkins are perfect. They are such a nice fit and can be dressed down in the day or dressed up with a nice cami top and statement jewellery at night and I went for this Topshop leather jacket (£48) for the same reason.

I then went into The Body Shop for this facial mist (£9) as it's one of my travel must haves for keeping my skin hydrated especially if I'm flying. While I was in The Body Shop I was able to benefit from one of the rewards on the St Enoch reward card and picked up a sample pack of their best sellers which will certainly come in handy on a weekend away.

*Thanks to St Enoch and The Big Partnership for providing me with £100 gift card to purchase these items.

Fashion: Jeans for Genes

With Jeans for Genes coming up next month I thought I would tell you a little bit about the charity and show you this years fabulous charity t-shirt.

Jeans for Genes day which takes on the 23rd September, raises money for Genetic Disorders UK. Genetic Disorders UK aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders and funds raised will go to the vital care and support they urgently need.

There are between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders and it is estimated that one in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder which is more than 30,000 babies and children being diagnosed in the UK each year.

To raise money the charity is encouraging people to wear jeans on Jeans for Genes day and make a donation. You can also support the charity by wearing one of the t-shirts which has designed by Katherine Garbutt, a student at Glasgow School of Art. You can see me below wearing my t-shirt. The t-shirt is available to buy online for £20.

Beauty: Kiko Skincare

After trying and loving KIKO make-up I couldn't wait to try their skincare range. What I love about KIKO is the high quality and affordable prices. In fact, you might be interested to know that KIKO products are made in a factory in Italy that also produces products for high end brands Burberry and Charlotte Tilbury. So I'm sure you can imagine, standards are high.

I was recently sent some Kiko skincare to try and I'm pleased to tell you, it did not disappoint.

Hydra Pro Glow £20.90

This brightening moisturiser contains sunscreen (to help prevent skin aging) and skin plumping hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid helps skin to retain water which results in skin looking more plump and fines lines appear reduced. The product also contains ACTIGLOW which helps stimulate the production of collagen. The results are long lasting leaving skin feeling and looking hydrated and glowing.

I found this to be very cooling and hydrating when I applied to my skin. It did give my skin an instant glow but I found by the time I put primer over it my glow had faded. However, I mixed a little with my foundation and that worked a treat. Although my glow didn't last all day the hydration did so overall I did really like this product.

Shine Refine Spot £12.90

This anti blemish treatment contains salicylic acid which reduces swelling, redness and unclogs pores. It instantly soothes the effected area and gradually clears the skin.

I suffer from bad skin around my chin at times and this did help. I felt this product did exactly what it claimed to do: it instantly smoothed the area, calmed down the redness and helped heal the blemish a lot quicker than normal.

Pure Clean Powder £7.90

This powder transforms into an foaming exfoliating cleanser upon contact with water. It cleanses the skin leaving it feeling clean, smooth and soft.

This was favourite of all three. I will admit, when I first tipped the powder into my hands I didn't have high hopes for this product but when I added a bit of water, worked into a foam and applied all over my face I was quicky impressed. It removed every trace of make-up including my eye make-up and left my skin feeling really clean and so soft. It's also really convenient for traveling as it's so compact. I've been using this everyday for a good few months now and I've still got loads left. I will definitely repurchase this.

Have you tried KIKO Skincare?

*These products were sent to me as a PR sample.
