Beauty: Kiko Milano Glasgow Buchanan Street Launch

I'm sure if you are Glasgow based you will have heard the exciting news that KIKO Milano has opened it's doors on Buchanan Street. Well, I was lucky enough to be invited along to the launch before it officially opened it doors to the public.

When I arrived there was already a que forming down Buchanan Street but we were lucky enough to have a sneak peak of the store and enjoy a delicious breakfast before they officially opened the store.

Although I had heard of KIKO, I hadn't actually tried any of their products and never visited a KIKO store (before the Buchanan Street launch) so I was pleasantly surprised when I seen the vast range of make-up the store had to offer. The KIKO staff were so friendly and on-hand to help colour match and advise which I found very helpful.

I felt like a kid in a candy shop, I don't think I have ever seen such extensive range of colours of my life. I almost felt bad trying the products as the shop was immaculate and all the products were brand new. And when I thought it couldn't get any better, we were gifted with a gift card and given the opportunity to make a purchase before the shop officially opened. You can see what I purchased below.

Matte Fusion Pressed Powder, £12.90 / Colour Refresher Nail Polish £4.90 / Dessert Dunes Baked Bronzer, £22.90 / Supergloss Lip Gloss, £4.90 / Water Eye Shadow, £8.90 / High Pigment Wet and Dry Eye Shadow / Perfect Gel Duo, £7.90 / Colour Comfort Lip Colour, £5.90 / Fast and Shiny Base and Top Coat £4.90

Thanks so much KIKO Milano for inviting me along.

Beauty: Body Shop Favourites & Giveaway

I've used The Body Shop's products for as long as I can remember and have a number of favourite products that I re-purchase over and over again. However, it wasn't until recently I realised how much they have upped their game when it comes it skincare.

I recently attended two Body Shop events in the Sauchiehall Street store. One was a VIP shopping night and the other was a blogger event. Both events were focusing on the latest product launch where I was introduced to the Oils of Life and the Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion which has become one of my favourite products along with some old faithfuls.

Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion, £15
The Oils of Life Essense Lotion is infused with three precious seed oils from across the globe:
Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile. The essence is used after your toner and before your serum/moisturiser to prepare your skin and absorb the benefits of the next stage of your skincare regime. It instantly brightens your complexion and feels so refreshing on your skin. I will definitely be re-purchasing this.

Shea Body Scrub, £13
Body Shop scrubs are my favourite. As well as removing dead skin cells the Shea butter leaves your skin feeling so smooth and soft. The smell is also amazing, I love this whole range.

Shea Shower Cream, £4
As I mentioned above I love the Shea range and the shower cream is another favourite of mine. As this is a cream it leaves your skin feeling moisturised as well as lovely and clean. I have noticed that they have recently changed the packing but I'm sure the ingredients are still the same.

Vitamin E Moisture Cream £12
A very old favourite of mine and a Body Shop best seller. Vitamin E is antioxidant that protects skin from environmental damage and has excellent healing properties. I've used this since the young age of 11 years old when my mum gave me it for a scar on my face from a bike accident. It really helped to fade the scar and for that reason I have used ever since. They now have a new improved formula that includes hyaluronic acid which plumps the skin.

Strawberry Beautifying Oil, £10
My favourite scent in this range is actually the coconut as it reminds me of holidays but the strawberry smells amazing too. This oil is a multi tasker which can used on the face, body or hair. I love it because it's so easy to apply and it leaves your skin feeling, looking and smelling good. I also find an oil is easier than a cream if you are getting dressed right away as it absorbed quicker.

At the events I attended at the Body Shop I was given some goodies and I'm giving away some of the products to one lucky reader so don't forget to enter via Raffelcopter link below.
