Fashion: Handbags and Gladrags

If there is one thing I love in life, it's a new handbag. So I was over the moon when I was asked to get involved in St Enoch Centre's latest promotion 'Handbags and Gladrags'.

St. Enoch Centre is hosting a ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ weekend on 23rd and 24th May to celebrate all things accessories!

Over the course of the weekend, Centre shoppers can try to hook themselves a new must-have handbag or they could win one of the hundreds of other prizes up for grabs including gift cards and beauty products. Simply show your in-centre receipt for any purchase made that day to play the game and be in with a chance of winning.

As part of the promotion I was given a £50 gift card and set the task of finding a new handbag. Easy right? Well, as there is so much choice in St Enoch Centre it took me a good few hours to pick my perfect handbag. I finally settled on this bag from Oasis and teamed it with this fabulous H! by Henry Holland scarf as I thought the colours matched the bag perfectly.

Bag, £30, Oasis (Concession in Debenhams)
Scarf £16, H! by Henry Holland (Concession in Debenhams)

A few other beauties caught my eye while I was shopping but I had a number of reasons for choosing the above items. I  thought the bright colours are perfect for Summer, it's the perfect size (as I carry A LOT in my handbag) and I had just booked a city break to Rome that morning and thought the bag and scarf combo looked very Versace.

Bag, £55, Dune (Concession in Debenhams)

Bag, £89 Todd Lynn (Concession in Debenhams)

St. Enoch Centre has a wide selection of handbag and accessory retailers including H&M, Topshop, Fossil, Folli Follie, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, BHS and Wallis, so whatever the occasion or style, St. Enoch has it covered.

Food: Tommy Tucker Gourmet Popcorn

I love popcorn as a snack so you can imagine how pleased I was to picked to be part of Tommy Tuckers taste testing team and sent a huge box of gourmet flavoured popcorn to try.

When it arrived, I thought there is no chance I am getting through this alone. So, I took it with me on a recent trip to my parents house as we had a few friends round for the night and thought it would be a good idea to get everyone in on the taste test.

I was sent the following flavours to try:

Fruits of The Forrest
The Fruits of the Forrest had a lovely sweet taste with a cherry and strawberry flavoured toffee coating. It was my personal favourite.

Chilli and Lemon
The Chilli and Lemon had a sweet flavour at first and then the chilli taste kicked in. It was surprisingly really tasty and went down well with everyone that tasted it.

Coconut Toffee
This one was the most popular but unfortunately, the most calorific. The coconut and toffee was the perfect combination, very sweet but absolutely delicious.

Smoked Chedder Cheese
The least popular of all flavours but tasted a lot better than I imagined. It was very cheesey and quite strong and would probably go down well with those who favour savory over sweet.

Sweet and Salt
Don't get me wrong, I liked this flavour but just seemed a bit boring in comparison to the other flavours. Saying that, every drop was eaten.

You have probably tried Tommy Tucker Popcorn without even realising as they are the popcorn supplier in Cineworld, Vue, City Screen and Empire cinemas across the country.

Tommy Tucker is now available to buy online and launched their new retail website on the 1st of May so head over to see what other flavours you can buy.

*These products were sent to me free of charge to review.

Event: Crabtree & Evelyn Garden Celebration

On Thursday evening I headed along to Crabtree & Evelyn's Garden Celebration Blogger Event held in the Glasgow store in Princes Square Shopping Centre.

Although I am familiar with the brand I actually hadn't tried any of their products as I always thought it was marketed for a much older person than myself. Saying that, sometimes there is nothing I like more than a wee cup of tea and a scone (don't judge). So you can imagine my excitement when I realised they sold a range of luxury teas, biscuits and jams which we allowed to sample and vote for our favourite. The Wild Blueberry and Lavender Jam got my vote.

As well as tasting the food, we were treated to hand massages and talked through the fragrance range which I was pleasantly surprised by. They have a fragrance range to suit all tastes from florals to spicy and woody. My favourite was the Parisian Millefleurs and I'm clearly not alone as it was sold out in store and online. I also thought the packing of the products was just gorgeous.

The girls explained to us a bit about the brand and said one of their biggest competitors was L'occitane which I can totally understand as they are both of a high quality and offer a similar range of products.

We were also treated to lovely goodie bags.

I know I will be back to stock up on biscuits once I have eaten the ones in my goodie bag.

Have you tried any Crabtree & Evelyn products?
