Paul Mitchell Neuro Dryer

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will see I recently went along to the Paul Mitchell Intelligent Styling Event to learn more about the new range of styling tools and products they have launched. The range included the Nero Dryer and I don't think I have ever been this excited about a hair dryer until now.

I have been through countless hair dryers over the years due the thickness of my hair and the time it takes to blow dry. My hair dryers have died on me many a time and usually when I needed to be somewhere important. Yeah I know, nightmare! So you can imagine my excitement when the team at Paul Mitchell sent me this to try out.

The day it arrived I couldn't wait to get home from work/gym to wash my hair and try out my new dryer. My boyfriend just could not get his head round why I so excited about this dryer and why it had a £100 price tag attached to it. I tried to explain it to him in car terms. I told him "its like the Roll's Royce of hair dryers".

The Neuro Dry is a professional, high performing hair dryer with tourmaline ions that dry hair faster, reduce frizz and add shine. It has 4 settings, a cool shot button, 2000 watts of power, a 2.7 meter cord, and a SmartSense microchip that activates the clean filter.

All of the above are what my previous dryers have been missing. The professional motor has been built to last upto 1000 hours which will hopefully outlast any hair dryer I have ever owned. The removable clean filter will mean I won't get that build up of dust I have had in the past (which I think caused it to over heat) and the tourmaline ions will dry my hair a lot quicker. Oh and the 2.7 meter cord means I can multi task and reach all the way over to my wardrobe to pick my outfit while drying my hair.

After using the dryer I can confirm it dried my hair in half the time (as my previous dryer) and left my hair smoother and shinny. I did use a Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner so this may have helped.

The Nero Dryer costs £99.95 which yes, is a bit steep for a hair dyer but it is created for salon professionals. However, if you do have thick hair like myself it might be worth investing.

Paul Mitchell Intelligent Styling Event

Last Tuesday, I went along to the Paul Mitchell  Intelligent Styling Event held at Hely Hair Studio to learn more about the launch of their latest styling tools and products. When we arrived we were greeted with a nice cold glass of fizz and canapes from the Deli next door (Roscoe's Deli Bar). Once we had been introduced to everyone, the Paul Mitchell girls told us about the new range of styling tools, Neuro.

The Neuro range are salon quality, precision instruments powered by cutting-edge technology.  The range consists of the Neuro Dryer, (for body and volume) the Neuro Smooth, (for smoothing, flips and waves) the Neuro Unclipped Rod, (for beach waves) the Neuro Unclipped Cone 1.25, (for natural looking curls) the Nero Unclipped  Cone 0.75, (for Ringlets and Spirals) and the Nero Curl, (for Waves an Curls). The range starts at £64.95 and comes with a two year warranty. You can find out more here.

Once we had chatted about the new range we were treated to a hair style. I went for a fish tale plait but forgot to get my picture taken (sorry guys). I did however get a before and after picture of the lovely Genna from Lipstickcrush, as you can see Genna went for natural looking curls.

Our hair styles were finished off using their latest hairspray Express Dry Stay Strong. The Express Dry range also has a dry shampoo. This is the first dry shampoo Paul Mitchell has launched and I am super excited about this product. Sarah from Paul Mitchell explained that Paul Mitchell aren't always the first to launch a product but when they do, they do it well.  We were lucky enough to receive both products in our goody bag so look out for upcoming reviews.
